Meet my newest addition 'Maka Chikala' which means 'Little Earth' in Lakota.
she was born of the earth... we try so hard to protect…
being a little wild mustang... that we also try so hard to protect…
She will be a great ambassador for her kind… and for the earth...

May mother keep her safe always….

She a BLM Mustang from Carter Reservoir HMA, I picked her up at the San Jose Adoption at the Santa Clara County Horsemens. She is so beautiful... I saw her and had to have her... first horse I picked just for her color...

Moon Rising my 2 year old BLM Mustang.

First time I saw her she was coming out of the truck with the rest of the yearlings. We were at the Santa Rosa Adoption in May of 2008.

I didn't know I would be adopting her when I took this photo..

Moon is now 15.3 hands tall and still growing. She is one of the nicest mares I have ever meet. She is really easy to work with and is easy out in the herd and around new horses that I bring home. I'm getting ready to start her under saddle. I've already sat on her once and lay over her back often. This winter I will start long lining her, so she will know how to turn and stop before I get on her... but I don't see much of a problem here. She is just a really easy young filly to work with. I really enjoy this filly, she will be my main riding horse, with in two to three years. I like to go slow, so they learn once for good, then we move on.

My 2 older horses Starman 21 years old Liver Bay Morgan Horse and Buddy 22 years old Buckskin Quarter Horse, anyone can ride. Here is the latest photos of them. I rode Starman in my wedding September 13, 2009, my husband Dave rode Buddy.

I bought Starman as a yearling for $300 at a Morgan Horse Auction in Colunbus Ohio. We together went on to win lots of ribbons at Morgan Horse Shows all over the east coast. He was and has always been a great horse, easy to train and work with. I sold him once and will never do that again. Out of all the horses I have owned over the years he is one of the best.

Buddy was given to me a few years back. Buddy is a really well trained horse, an ex-professional ropeing horse. Anyone can ride Buddy, he is a steady a horse as I have ever known, he has a life time home with me. I've taken him all over this state of California riding and camping.

Here is a photo of Doc and Baby in Yosemite, it was Baby's first trip, she did great.

Doc is a 19 years old Liver Chestnut Morgan horse, I got him at age 5. Got him to show but I never did. He has been just a trail horse, I have ridden him all over this country a couple of times. He is  my main riding horse for some years now... he is a great mountain horse as long as there are no yellow jackets around... great trail horse...

Baby is my "Baby" she was born at Indain Hills Ranch in Milpitas, and I slept with her her first 4 night after her brith. she is a Spanish Mustang, Palomia Dun, 7 years old now, but she is still my Baby... her papered name is Wamniyomni Waci which means Whirlwind Dancing. She just loves people, and I just love her.

Waci , is Baby's father, he is a Red Dun Overo,10 years old ,Spanish Mustang. I got him as a yearling, he was near deaths door, very thin, and had lice really bad. When I bought him, I was on my way to South Dakota, where I staied for a month. He got really fat on the high montain grasses of the Black Hills. He was named in ceremony at the tree, Wakinyan Gleska Waci  which means Spotted Thunder Dancing. and he can dance. He just loves people and loves me, and I love him... I got him for my grandson Ty.

Here he is in Yosemite this year... he is so fun to ride sometimes.

Here is a photo of my Little Gray Hawk... he has recently returned home...he was sold to a friend and recently returned... my first Spanish Mustang... he is a good boy... I'm glad he is home... and Buddy my old Buckskin...
