Up for Adoption from Spirit Horse Ranch!

Meet Uci, which means Grandmother in Lakota, BLM Mustang #988, yearling filly, was born and captured at Carter Reservoir HMA in December 2009. She is a rare Herringbone striped Dun, very rare color. She is one of the sweetest little mustang I have ever brought home to work with. If all goes well she will be going to San Martin Adoption at Taylor Made Farm, June 19, 2010. This is a 'Halter Project Only' adoption. I haven't had her for long, picked her up at the Oakdale Adoption May 22, 2010. And she has to be able to lead, tie, pick up her feet, be calm, manageable, plus load in a trailer. I'm working hard on all of these things... I hope we make it... if we don't and I can't find her a home I will adopt her. Because I really like her. And she likes me... horses like this only come around once in a while. Here is her web-site Uci's Story hope you enjoy it.
Mustangs and Burros that have been at Spirit Horse Ranch!

Spookum, BLM Mustang #2197, yearling gelding, was borne at Ridgecrest Corrals to a mare from the Nevada Wild Horse Range. He came to the Salinas adoption June, 09. Really nice young gelding, very fun personality... I really enjoyed him... took him to Angle Camp Adoption were he did not get a home but went on to another BLM Volunteer because I was on my way to getting married and didn't have time to finish him...

Black Beauty BLM Mustang #9742, 15.2 hands, 4 year old, black mare from Bitner Herd Management Area. I picked her up at the Napa Adoption May 15, 09 . She has a very nice disposition on her... very calm... very easy to work with. She has been to 3 adoptions this year, I watched the trainer work with her at the Livermore adoption April 27, 09 , and she was great I couldn't believe it when no one adopted her. She is a nice 15.2 hand mustang that is built like a quarter horses, real nicely put together. I like her; I couldn't let her go back to the corrals again! She got adopted at Angle Camp adoption July 10, 09.

Millie, BLM Mustang #0404 yearling, mealy bay, filly from the Buffalo Hills Herd Management Area just north of Reno, Nevada. I picked her up at the Livermore adoption April 27, 09 , and took her to Napa Adoption May 15, 09 but didn't find a home so she came back home to my ranch. She went to the Salinas adoption and was adopted June 09.

Sapa, BLM Mustang #0279, brown, filly from Red Rock Lake Herd Management Area, picked her up at the Santa Rosa adoption May 3, 08 . Sapa was adopted at the Rendezvous March 12, 2009 in Turlock!

Donkey, gray burro, 6 year old gelding Donkey was adopted at San Jose adoption! He was bought to my ranch for boarding and gentling. But due to personal problems his new owner could not take him home. So he needs a new home soon! He is coming around so quickly, I'm really going to miss him when he leaves, if I didn't have so many animals I would adopt him. He loads in trailer, anyone can walk up and pet him, I can pick up his front legs, still working on back legs, and he is starting to lead a bit. This was my first time working with a burro and it has been fun and so different from a horse. Come out and look for yourself, you could be the next proud adopter from Spirit Horse Ranch he was Reassigned 7-18-08 !

Sir Henry, black yearling gelding Reassigned 7-16-08 ! BLM Mustang yearling Colt Sir Henry is going soon to his new home in San Martin! Yeah! Henry does it all! He loads in trailer, loves anybody that comes to the ranch, loves being groomed, loves other horses, he is such a lover boy that you just can't resist. He is only 12.2 hands high so I don't think he will be a very big boy when he grows up. He came from an outside herd area North of Death Valley, CA near the town of Dryer, NV. Sapa and Henry did go to the Litchfield Adoption June 14, 08 , but they didn't get adopted.

Brawny, BLM Mustang #9721 yearling (really about 5 to 6 months old), brown, gelding, he came from the Nut Mountain Herd Management Area. I picked him up at the King City Adoption 2-2-08 ! He was really a fun little colt to work with lots of personality. He was adopted April 26, 08 at BLM Wild Horse and Burro Adoption in San Jose, CA.
